WHY

If you think you've gone as far as you can with bolt-on performance parts or are even rebuilding your late model SIDI V6, it's time to consider the benefits of our eagerly anticipated high-performance camshafts. Once tuned, not only will our cam package provide instant power gains and great sound, but it will open the door to further upgrades enabling you to extract more power from potential modifications.

WHAT

We have developed a series of high-performance billet camshafts for your Holden V6 SIDI engine. Designed to deliver real-world horsepower and torque gains, our SIDI cams won't compromise the drivability of your vehicle like some cams can.

You are provided with four brand new billet camshafts, so there is no need for change-over or deposit and we have packages to suit every model and transmission.

This package provides power gains up to 30rwkw from 1500rpm to redline. Power keeps climbing as the rev limiter range is increased which means even greater power gains can be achieved. This increase has been achieved without sacrificing any noticeable low-end torque or drivability. Despite the excellent performance characteristics of this package, the engine remains tractable and responsive at low speed.

These cams have been designed to be used with the standard valve springs and engine components, so you are not required to replace any other engine components.

HOW

The camshaft is one of the most vital components inside your engine, controlling when and how the intake and exhaust valves open and close inside your cylinder heads directly affecting not only how much power you make, but where in the rev range it does it.

By altering key attributes to camshaft design we've been able to offer a series of camshafts that provide maximum drivability and economy, whilst also offering up to 30rwkw power gains.

This cam package can be fitted by any good mechanic and we have made installation even easier by loaning out our installation tool in conjunction with fitting instructions for the job.

Please note that in order to make full use of these cams, a custom tune is required.

We also offer cams to suit the VZ - VE Alloytec & complete range of SIDI V6’s including LLT, LF1, LFW & LFX. These camshafts are also available for other vehicle makes including the Chevrolet Camaro V6.

OnStar 'ignition block' disables stolen vehicles

Tue, 21 Jul 2009

OnStar, General Motors' in-vehicle safety and communications system, has launched a service to keep car thieves from starting a vehicle that has been reported stolen. As of July 20, three stolen cars had been disabled by the technology, called "remote ignition block." The feature is available on select 2009 and 2010 GM models. Subscribers must report their vehicles stolen to police officials and request assistance from OnStar, which then sends a signal that prevents the car from restarting.

The BMW M5 is back!

Mon, 04 Apr 2011

BMW's M division has gone back to the drawing board with the M5, giving the fifth generation of the iconic four-door a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine—the first time Munich's class-defining performance sedan has gone without a naturally aspirated powerplant since its introduction in 1984. Further changes see it adopt a dual-clutch gearbox as part of a complete driveline rethink that resigns the old model's sequential manual transmission to the history books. Revealed here officially for the first time, the new M5 is planned to make its world debut in concept-car guise at the Shanghai motor show later this month.
